Local Sports March 20, 2020

These are crazy times right now.  It is tough to be a sports director at a small market radio station with virtually everything shut down.

Who knows how long this situation will last?  I have come up with a personal list of my “Top 10” TV sports moments that I would love to watch again in this “shelter-in=place” or “hunker down” era.

I will start at #10 today.  #9 is tomorrow.  I will go one per day this week through Friday and 5-1 next week with my # pick on Friday, April 3rd.

Here we go!

#10-August 11, 2008: USA men’s swimming 4 x 100 meter relay team wins gold at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing, China.

Anchorman Jason Lezak’s otherworldly anchor leg stuns France as the Americans win by .08 seconds.  The victory leads to Michael Phelps winning a record eight gold medals in one Olympics.

Catch it on Youtube!  One of the most exciting 3:08.24 of sports ever!

#9 Tuesday!!
